Our surveyors are licenced to undertake work with a number of highly protected species including: great crested newt, otter, water vole, hazel dormouse, bat (all UK species), barn owl, Eurasian beaver and native crayfish.

We undertake and supervise habitat management works, including reptile fencing, pond construction and hibernacula installation where required in accordance with mitigation of planned development.

Bramley Associates also offer terrestrial, freshwater and marine plant and algal surveys to include:

  • Site surveys
  • NVC/UKHAB surveys
  • Species/site monitoring
  • Aquatic macrophyte surveys
  • Invasive non-native plant assessments
  • Writing habitat management plans
  • Habitat creation, restoration and translocation
  • Applying for licences relating to protected plant species.

We also undertake some unusual projects, such as assessments of apple and pear orchards.
